The Victoria Guitar Trio, featuring Michael Dias, Adrian Verdejo, and Bradford Werner, is one of Canada’s premier classical guitar ensembles. All three guitarists have extensive experience performing in both solo and ensemble settings. Individually they have all obtained professional musical degrees through their years of study and have dedicated themselves to the love the guitar. The Trio’s concert repertoire spans vast periods and stylistic borders; from Renaissance lute music, to contemporary Canadian guitar compositions, to Latin America and Jazz inspired works. Adrian, Bradford and Michael enthusiastically share their passion for the classical guitar’s rich history through their performances and with their students. All three members are active faculty guitar instructors at the Victoria Conservatory of Music.

The Quelus Guitar Duo, featuring Michael Dias and Bradford Werner, is a breath of fresh air for both the audience and the performers. Seeking an exciting and flexible avenue to branch away from the more formal side of the classical guitar the Quelus Duo has found a most enjoyable combination of quality performance practise and unpretentious musical selections. Repertoire encompasses an eclectic mix of jazz, classical, Latin American, avant-guard, and world music. Performance settings are about as wide ranging as their repertoire. From formal concert halls to weddings, corporate events, and private functions, the Quelus Duo have compiled many collections of music that suit any event and are personal favorites of the performers. As well as being active members in the Quelus Guitar Duo, Michael and Bradford are also dedicated members of the Victoria Guitar Trio, a performance group for the concert hall. Both players are also active faculty members at the Victoria Conservatory of Music where they teach everything from private students, guitar orchestras, and summer academies.
